My first taste of photography caused a lifelong obsession with documenting life. I felt it was important to take photos for posterity- it was my "duty to the future."
At the time of my daughter's birth, I realized that as significant as it was to record for the future, it was of the utmost importance to be able to remember the moments now, to enjoy them, to be able to relive them. As she grows and our lives change, I understand that my flair for capturing life allows me to exist on any day, at any hour and to remember the real beauty of that experience. My passion for the past and my devotion to the future has helped me appreciate the moments we live in, capturing the "Now Factor," not just to document life, but to tell our story in a way that reminds us to live for today. It is important to have beautiful photos in order to constantly see how lucky we really are right now.
A childhood of art and theatre, my father's passion for photography, my mother's creative eye, and my own experimentation with painting have influenced the way I envision life around me.
I combine photography and art, letting stories unfold before my camera. Using an artist's eye, I capture moments in life, immortalizing our past, present, and future.
